POLset157 Polyhedroid Agate Slices

These small matching Polyhedroid Agate slices are polished on both sides, making them perfect for custom jewelry use. The pair shows an open crystal cavity in the center that reveals sparkling druzy, surrounded by cool gray to black banding. 12mm x 9mm 14mm x 9mm between 5mm thick Polyhedroid Agates were found in Paraiba, Brazil, but are now unavailable. They are a unique formation of agate, featuring naturally flat surfaces at a variety of different angles. They are believed to have formed in the negative spaces between large crystal blades of calcite or aragonite, and can occasionally feature multiple "chambers" where those blades eroded and adjacent agates fused together.
