“Ferrari's Tribute to the Victims of 9/11” This drawing captures Michael Schumacher driving the Ferrari F2001 during the 2001 Italian GP, a race which Ferrari dedicated to the victims of the 9/11 attacks. The horrific attacks of 9/11/01 occurred just days prior to the 2001 Italian GP. The Italian GP proceeded as planned despite this horror, and so Ferrari made an unprecedented gesture - along with its sponsors - to run this special livery in remembrance of the victims of the attacks. A completely unadorned body in rosso corsa, with a poignant black nose. A quiet, humble and respectful gesture of mourning. Originally rendered in pencil and pastel by fine artist Mark J Davey, this piece is reproduced using specialist, fine art giclee printing methods.
