Antique 1920s 14K .30 CTW SI/H-I Old Mine Cut diamond cluster ring

A cluster of eight century-old diamonds in a willowy openwork setting. The diamonds gather within a white gold collet with a starburst inset and seamless arrangement. This is held in a belcher-style head with a sunflower or "buttercup" appearance when viewed straight on. Pierced shoulders with diamond-shaped "peekaboo" accents. These century-old diamonds have the rough-cut characteristics that define old miners: wobbly perimeters, plump bodies, steep crowns, and open culets. While each diamond has its own unique qualities, the grouping is beautifully matched in color, cut style, and brightness. The eight stones are gathered in a snug cluster, with the largest, most cushiony at the center. Freshly re-shanked and spruced up. All diamonds original.
