Vex repairs and alters latex garments from any maker — from everyday wear and seam failures to designer, vintage, and museum-quality archive preservation. Every repair is handmade in our California studio.How it works: Submit a repair inquiry with your item's age, brand, latex type, and chlorination status, along with damage photos. We send an estimate, then you prepare and ship your garment to us. Because every repair is different, we bill by the hour once the work is complete, plus return shipping.Pricing: $100/hour for Vex items, $200/hour for non-Vex items (1-hour minimum). A $25 handling fee applies per piece when sending 3 or more garments. Turnaround is approximately 4 weeks; rush service is available on request.Please note: Chlorinated latex cannot be repaired, as chlorination permanently changes the structure of the latex. Wash off all shine and lubrication and talc your item inside and out before shipping — unwashed items incur a washing fee starting at $50 per garment, and pieces requiring more than one wash or special care may incur additional charges. Please ship trackable and insured. Latex is a delicate material; in rare cases additional damage can occur on aged or brittle pieces, and we will flag that risk in advance.To begin, email sales@vexclothing.com.
