HUGH HAMILTON DISRUPTER GRENACHE 2024
Starting a wine industry is disruptive. Planting Grenache sticks in the ground and hoping they take? Also disruptive. That’s the Hamilton legacy — and The Disrupter is a wine that celebrates every sweet disruption of the everyday. The story gets even better: in suburban Adelaide, one last patch of Grenache vines remains from what was once the vast Hamilton Ewell Vineyard. Cuttings were taken from those vines and planted at the Hugh Hamilton home in McLaren Vale — continuing a generations-old legacy in the best possible way. This is Grenache with energy and attitude — bright, meaty red fruit, supple tannins, and a lively, “fleet on its feet” finish. A proper modern Grenache built for drinking now. Drink: now through 2 years Food match: pork and strawberry salad with crumbled goat’s cheese, or strawberry spinach salad with caramelised hazelnuts McLaren Vale, South Australia | Grenache | 14.6% ABV | Vegan Friendly
