8661 Acoustic Research AR-6 Bookshelf Loudspeakers — Very Good Condition | Re-Surrounded Bass Units | Fully Tested The Acoustic Research AR-6 is a two-way bookshelf loudspeaker from Acoustic Research Inc., the Cambridge, Massachusetts company founded in 1954 by Edgar Villchur and Henry Kloss that pioneered the acoustic suspension loudspeaker. Introduced in the early 1970s, the AR-6 was designed to bring the company’s renowned sealed-box philosophy to a more compact and affordable form factor than its larger siblings, whilst retaining the natural, uncoloured presentation that defined the AR house sound. This particular matched pair is in good condition for its age; the bass units have been re-surrounded, and the speakers have been fully inspected and tested by Andrew in our workshop. Condition: Grade B — Very Good — Light signs of use consistent with age; good overall. The bass units have been re-surrounded.
