He attended Maryborough Technical College studying Sculpture, Ceramics, Photography and Printmaking. Dean has been making Art for over 40 years. His multidisciplinary practice spans painting, sculpture and printmaking, with a prolific creative output consistently evolving through 'a prism of humour and optimism'. The journey is a common theme in Dean’s work, it can be a car, a boat, or animals on the horizon making that journey, not so much a physical journey but in many ways an emotional and spiritual journey.
