The MU833-BI offers high performance with low-light applications thanks to its unprecedentedly high sensitivity. Using Sony’s STARVIS 2 technology, the camera’s sensor has superior light absorption and dynamic range. This is ideal for fluorescence microscopy working in the visible emission spectrum, as well as darkfield and other low emission applications. C-Mount The camera uses a standard C-mount lens interface which works with a wide range of microscopes and lenses. It can be mounted directly to C-mount photo ports, or coupled with a C-mount reduction lens for use with 23mm or larger ocular tubes. Ultimate Low-Light Performance Using Sony’s 2nd generation STARVIS technology, the camera’s back-illuminated CMOS sensor is capable of capturing detail with limited illumination, making it an excellent option for use with inconsistent lighting or low-emission applications such as fluorescence and darkfield. These back-illuminated sensors have shown remarkable flexibility and a superior ability to boost the signal with limited noise which is why they are the go-to sensors for astronomy and surveillance.
