Description: Vintage terrestrial globe produced by the renowned German globe maker Columbus-Verlag Paul Oestergaard KG (Berlin and Stuttgart), known for quality globes from the early-to-mid 20th century. Edited by cartographer W. Kaden. This is a desktop version consisting of printed paper gores layered over a papier-mâché core. Aluminium half meridian ring with a turned wooden pedestal base. Columbus signature includes both Berlin and Stuttgart, Germany shown as a unified country, Korea and Vietnam unified entities, suggest a production date of around 1950 - 1953. Dimensions: Height: 50cm approx. Circumference: 100cm approx. Base: Diameter: 21cm. Excellent vintage condition. Without tearing or structural defect. Seamless equator. No colour fading. Condition reflected in images.
