A silver plated note book from a chatelaine. c1870

A little silver plated notebook with a gardening theme. The front cover has a central motif of a basket of flowers, hat, rake and spade. The back is a shaped panel of engine turned geometric designs. The three leaves in side are made of an early celluloid as can be seen by the horizontal lines running across the material which is not typical of ivory. 6 x 4.5cm including the hanging loop. It is in good condition apart from a little damage to the edge at the top of one of the three leaves. There is some wear to the plating on the high points but it still looks silvery. Stock no. LT28 NB. It matches the thimble case listed LT29.
