Ideal for yachts, motor yachts and other recreational vessels. Instructions for use First bring the engine up to operating temperature. Switch off the engine and close the seawater intake valve. Unscrew and remove the lid of the sea strainer. Restart the engine and pour suitable antifreeze into the sea strainer. Make sure the sea strainer remains filled so that the impeller pump does not draw in air or run dry. Keep topping up the antifreeze until it clearly flows out through the exhaust. Then switch off the engine immediately. The seawater section of the cooling system is now filled with antifreeze. Important for directly cooled engines With a directly cooled engine, meaning one without a heat exchanger, the engine must first be at operating temperature so that the thermostat is open and the antifreeze can flow through the entire cooling system. For extra assurance, the thermostat can be temporarily removed. Do not forget to reinstall it when preparing the engine for the summer.
