Spacehorse - Spacehorse

No place was quite like San Diego in the 90s and early 00s. Legendary, and often short-lived, bands on now infamous DIY labels pushing the musical envelope and carving out a place for themselves during a period when hardcore and punk music was splintering into countless styles and sounds. Spacehorse was one of those bands. They had a serious pedigree featuring members of Heroin, End Of The Line, Clikatat Ikatowi, The Camera Obscura, and more. However, during their brief two-year existence from 2004–2006, they managed to craft a sound quite different from their previous bands. They delivered fast, aggressive, 80s DC/Midwest style punk-hardcore. Skyscraper magazine once called them, "...old (ish) school hardcore, but souped-up and modernized; brutal but layered and dense." This single LP discography gathers Spacehorse's self-titled 12" (Gravity Records, 2004), the 'Ghosts of the Civil Living' album (Day After Records, 2006), and a previously unreleased song called "Dirty City".
