The 254 landscape photos in this book, along with the accompanying facts about them, illustrate all of the counties of Texas. Each county includes a map of its location and iconic photography of that county's notable landscape and natural setting. The photographer, Lance Varnell, has the heart of an environmentalist and had the eye of a photographer. The word "had" is used here because following the 15-year adventure of collecting these photographs, Lance contracted a rare disease that left him blind.
