Each unit inverts a 48V battery bank to 277 VAC; wire three as a three-phase set and you get a full 277/480V system rated 36 kW continuous and 75 kW surge. How the 277/480V three-phase design works Each unit inverts your 48V battery bank to 277 VAC.
