Murphy's Point Provincial Park
I visited Murphy's Point alone in late fall. It was a warm day, but windy, and the landscape felt stripped back. Not a traditional autumn scene but more austere. Cooler and quieter. The view looks out towards Horse Island, sitting small and exposed against the vastness of Rideau Lake. This painting is part of an ongoing project focused on Ontario's provincial parks and the pull certain places have on us. Not landmarks so much as places that stay with you. Original painting signed by the artist. Medium: Oil on canvas Size: 36" x 24" Year: 2026
