Fuso Ryco Z980SK16 10 Micron Fuel Water Separator – Unfitted The Fuso Ryco Z980SK16 Fuel Water Separator is an additional diesel pre-filter designed for compatible Fuso applications, providing an extra stage of particulate filtration and water separation before fuel reaches the vehicle's factory OEM fuel filter. Designed specifically for use as an additional protective filtration stage, the Z980SK16 combines high-efficiency 10-micron particulate filtration with effective water separation, a clear lower collection bowl and an integrated drain. This product is supplied as the fuel filter system only and is not fitted. Installation labour, workshop consumables and the exhaust heat shield used in AAV4x4 fitted packages are not included. When correctly installed, diesel from the vehicle's fuel tank passes through the Ryco separator before continuing to the original Fuso fuel filter. This provides an additional opportunity to capture particulate contamination and separate water before the fuel reaches the factory filtration system and engine. 10-Micron Particulate Filtration The Z980SK16 has a nominal filtration rating of 10 micron and a published particulate efficiency of 98.67% at 10 micron. The filter is intended to act as an additional pre-filtration stage, helping reduce the contamination load reaching the vehicle's OEM fuel filter. Water Separation In addition to particulate filtration, the Z980SK16 is designed to separate water suspended within the diesel fuel supply. The filter has a published water separation efficiency of 99.1% at a 70-micron water-droplet size. Separated water collects in the clear lower bowl where it can be visually identified and drained during inspection or servicing. Clear Collection Bowl & Drain The transparent lower bowl allows the condition of the collected fuel and water to be checked without dismantling the filter assembly. If water or contamination is visible, it can be removed through the drain at the bottom of the bowl. Regular visual inspection is particularly useful after remote travel or after refuelling from unfamiliar fuel sources. Silicone-Coated Filter Media The Ryco Z980SK16 uses water-resistant silicone-coated filtration media designed for diesel fuel filtration and water separation. The media is engineered to provide effective filtration while maintaining suitable fuel flow through the additional pre-filter system. Fuel Flow Capacity The Z980SK16 is designed for low-pressure diesel fuel filtration and has published recommended flow capacities of: Suction-side applications: up to 120 litres per hour Positive-pressure applications: up to 400 litres per hour The filter assembly has a maximum published working pressure of 600kPa / 6 bar / 87psi. Installation labour, workshop consumables, fuel hoses, vehicle-specific mounting hardware and the exhaust heat shield used in the AAV4x4 fitted package are not included unless separately specified. The Z980SK16 is an additional pre-filter and water separator intended to work alongside the vehicle's existing OEM fuel filtration system. The current Ryco Z980SK16 specification is 10 micron. Older AAV4x4 product references describing this filter as 30 micron do not reflect the current published Ryco specification. The clear lower bowl should be inspected periodically and any accumulated water drained promptly. Installation should provide secure mounting, suitable fuel-line routing and adequate clearance from heat sources and moving vehicle components.
