Vandi Orchid

For the orchid lover who has all the more common orchids. This is a modern styling with a Vandi orchid (they come in assorted colors so may not be this exact color). This is not a beginner orchid and requires more care than most orchids but they are stunning in this modern arrangement. It needs to be taken out (which is why we styled this way) and the roots soaked for 10 minutes and then put back in vase set up at least twice a week (they appreciate a very dilute fertilizer in that water—or if you have a fish tank your dump water is perfect). Typical blooms last about a month (some varieties shorter some longer). Most people can get to rebloom if place somewhere that is in shade with sprinklers that hit the roots multiple times a week (roots must be left loose, they cannot tolerate potting mediums).
