Overview 3M™ Acrylic Foam Tape PX5005 is a thin, high-performance double-sided acrylic foam tape designed primarily for automotive attachment applications. It features a 0.51 mm dark gray acrylic foam core with 3M™ ZX pressure-sensitive adhesive on both sides. The thin acrylic foam construction provides a balance of adhesion, conformability and stress relaxation while helping maintain a low bond-line profile. The ZX adhesive is designed for strong adhesion to low surface energy (LSE) plastics, such as PP/EPDM, and compatible automotive paint systems, supporting primerless bonding in suitable applications. PX5005 is the thinnest standard grade within the 3M™ PX5000 Series, making it suitable for applications where component geometry and bond-line thickness are important considerations.
