Mistretta Cowgirl

Our version of a Spaghetti Western — where the Wild West meets European flair. This piece is from our final Summer in Sicily Arrivederci collection before retirement. Designed by me and crafted by my mom, Maria. As America celebrates its 250th birthday, I’m dedicating this look to my grandparents who left Mistretta, Sicily in the 1950s, made the journey to America, and became citizens. The antique doilies have been treasured in our family for generations. THE DRESS : The crocheted tablecloth was transformed into a versatile piece that can be worn as a poncho, halter dress, or skirt. Paired with an antique doily duster featuring pieces over 150 years old, DUSTER :Sold separately . My mom, who grew up in the Sicilian countryside — la Campagna —but the entire ensemble was designed and put together here in America — a true blend of Sicilian heritage and the American dream.
