Himalaya Crocodile (Himalaya Finish): the pinnacle of leather craftsmanship The term “Himalaya crocodile” is not related to the geographical origin of the animal but refers to its unique finish. The crocodiles from which this leather is obtained most often belong to the species Crocodylus niloticus (Nile crocodile) and are not related to the Himalayan regions. The “Himalaya finish” is a relatively new finishing technique that achieves a stunning effect reminiscent of the majestic white-grey hues of the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayan Mountains. This finish is achieved through a special leather treatment that preserves the natural coloration of the hide, giving it the effect of a unique harmony of light and shadow that makes each piece of leather unique.
