Mey Games 2026 Single Malt Scotch Whisky – 46% vol. 70cl
Mey Highland Games release wears the Sinclair tartan Wolfburn Distillery has released a Single Malt Scotch Whisky to mark the Mey Highland Games for the last nine years. This year's 70cl bottle carries the Sinclair tartan, a tribute to the Norman dynasty that has held the Earldom of Caithness since the 15th century and whose motto, "Commit thy work to God," sits well alongside a decade of patient maturation. Matured in second-fill Oloroso sherry casks at 46% vol, this 10-Year-Old is the full-size edition for anyone building a shelf of Mey Games history, one tartan, one year, one bottle at a time. ON THE NOSE Soft sherry sweetness melds with figs and raisins. There’s a lovely hint of vanilla and oak present too. ON THE PALATE The depth of flavour is tremendous. Bold chocolate and dark fruit flavours abound, with overtones of caramel and vanilla, all accompanied by gentle hints of nutmeg and oak smoke. FINISH Silky tannins make for a beautifully textured finish; there’s a residual sweetness with dried fruit and caramel flavours lingering to the very end. Non chill-filtered / Natural Colour 46% ABV. 70cl Prefer to travel light, or buying a few as gifts? The Mey Highland Games whisky is also available in a 35cl bottle, same Sinclair tartan, same 10 Year Old single malt, smaller price. Come and see where it's made. Wolfburn is Scotland's most northerly distillery, right here in Thurso, Caithness, home of award-winning whiskies like Northland, Morven and Aurora. Book a distillery tour and see the copper stills and seaside warehouses behind every bottle we make, with a tasting of five whiskies included.
