Care Advance Heartburn Relief Oral Suspension helps relieve heartburn, acid reflux, indigestion and acid regurgitation. This peppermint-flavoured alginate suspension forms a protective raft over stomach contents and is suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and over. This peppermint-flavoured oral suspension works as an alginate reflux suppressant. After swallowing, it reacts with stomach acid to form a near-neutral raft that floats on top of the stomach contents. As a result, it helps reduce reflux and protects the oesophagus from acid, pepsin and bile for up to 4 hours. Care Advance Heartburn Relief may also help reflux-related symptoms such as hoarseness, voice changes, sore throat and cough where these are linked to laryngopharyngeal reflux. In addition, it may be used for gastro-oesophageal reflux symptoms during treatment with, or after withdrawal of, acid-suppressing medicines.
