Ares, Greek God of War Small Statue

Ares was the Olympian Greek god of war. He represented destruction, brutality, and the physical aggression needed for success in battle. Being a savage god of senseless war, he was not well liked. He is often associated with vultures, symbolizing death and decay, dogs, representing the loyalty of soldiers in battle, and boars, a symbol of strength and ferocity. This small bronze cold cast resin statue has colored accents. It depicts Ares in a plumed helmet with a shield and sheathed gladius. Overall: 6-3/8” tall, 3" wide, 2-3/8" deep
