Kids Conservation Walk – Sat, Aug 22, 10 AM

Interested in participating the Grange Fair in the conservation category? Join DNRT for a walk through Destruction Brook to gather items and learn about plants that might be suitable for your display! Learn more about the Grange Fair here. Boys and girls ages 5 – 14 are eligible to compete the conservation class. Children can enter bug, seashell, weeds, leaves, and wildflower collections. For the Fair: Display and Layout Arrangement: Items are neatly mounted on poster board, placed in shallow shadow boxes, or organized in small categorized containers. Labeling: Each specimen or item includes a handwritten or typed tag identifying what it is (e.g., a specific tree leaf or insect species). Presentation: The whole collection is sized to fit standard exhibition table space limits.
