Just displaying it like artwork is a feeling. Unseen color-way of the Japanese denim “Swing Jacket” from 50th couture collection. Historic first couture collection of Demna and for Balenciaga since the last one was 50 years ago (last one was in 1968) Retail for the recycled jacket I was told by a client that visited the store was a little under 30,000 but but I’ve heard the silk lined denims being around 20k give or take retail. Hard to know as this seems to be a blue nicer version. From the extremely exclusive and expensive Balenciaga Couture collection store in Paris. This jacket is made from extremely heavy denim woven in Japan along with laser engraved Cobrax sterling silver buttons and rivets and lined with thick top of the line silk. The denim is thick and almost somewhat padded it seems inside making the jacket extremely hefty but also very soft to the touch while still somehow rigid. The inside silk is pleated toward where the “swing” activates along with a two tone silk that appears when you move into the sleeves. The backs of the riveted buttons are fine laser engraved with 10 Avenue George V, the address of their legendary couture store in Paris. The jacket has no tags as it’s a bit special and one size it doesn’t really hit normal stores. If they did come with tags it has been removed but I suspect they come tagless from what I’ve heard.
