CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY AND APPRAISAL 1 YEAR MECHANICAL WARRANTY About The Chronostop, Omega's "driving chronograph" from the late 1960s, is one of the more unique models the Swiss brand has sold. Featuring the caliber 865, a simplified hand-wound chronograph movement, the Chronostop is a 60 seconds stopwatch only. The single pusher works the start-stop-reset function. You activate with one press, then press again to stop and hold to read the seconds hand. Releasing the pusher will reset to zero. Today’s example is the “jumbo” 41mm variant, a comfortable wrist presence on most any wrist due to its tonneau contouring. While some of the smaller Chronostops featured colourful dials, the larger cased models instead went for a more traditional black and white aesthetic. We really enjoy the symmetry on display here, with a white minute chapter ring nestled between the black dial and outer tachymetre scale, and featuring black/white hands and an orange chronograph seconds to tie everything together nicely. We've paired this one with an elegant grained calf Molequin strap in black with white stitching in keeping with the dual colour theme.
