Flower Agate Flame | 9.5cm | Madagascar A gorgeous one-off Flower Agate flame from Madagascar with an unusually deep, rusty orange base colour — a striking departure from the pale pink most Flower Agate displays, and one of the most distinctive examples of this stone we have had in. The plume formations are bold and clearly defined, standing out beautifully against the warm, earthy base. One piece, sold as seen. Flower Agate is a variety of Chalcedony discovered in Madagascar in 2018. The flower-like formations are three-dimensional plumes of opaque Chalcedony suspended within a translucent base, visible from the surface as petal-shaped inclusions that genuinely resemble blossoms frozen in stone. The orange and rusty tones in this piece come from iron oxide present during crystallisation — the same chemistry that colours many Agates and Jaspers, here producing something genuinely unusual within the Flower Agate family.
