Lehuamamo Button Up Aloha Shirt- Black

A treasured forest, Keahialaka, in Puna, used to be full of yellow lehua blossoms. (The lava eruption of 2018 flowed across the forest, covering most the the ʻōhiʻa trees.) The term lehua-mamo, comes from the description of feathers on the Mamo bird. Its yellow feathers above and below the tail, stand out on the black bird. Desired for its use in lei and capes, the Mamo is one of the cherished birds of the Hawaiian forest. The yellow-lehua is eye catching!
