Can Sumoi "Muntanya", 2024

Can Sumoi is in essence an agricultural farm dating to 1645; A small portion of the estate is planted to vineyards and the rest is a forest of white pines, tall oaks and old stone walls that surround the winery. The Raventós family who have been making wine since 1497 found this special site and have started creating minimal intervention wine with this special project, reflecting the origin of these high altitude unique, lost vineyards and recovering ancestral tradition. This bottling called "Muntanya" or Mountain in Catalan is a blend of Macabeu & Xarel·lo; it is expressive, balancing toasty pastry with lime and orchard fruit notes. Serra de l’Home | Penedès, Spain
