Application Guide Choose heat-resistant fabrics such as cotton or linen. Avoid delicate or heat-sensitive materials such as silk, wool, cashmere, synthetics, or leather. Test the patch on an inconspicuous area of ??your garment first to check its reaction to the hot iron. Set your iron to its highest heat setting. A newer model will perform better than an older one. Avoid using a steam iron. Preheat the fabric before applying the patch. Cover it with a cotton cloth to protect it. Press the hot iron firmly onto the patch for about 15 seconds, until the adhesive melts. Allow it to cool slightly, then test the adhesion by gently lifting one edge of the patch with your fingernail. If necessary, repeat the process, applying firmer pressure with the iron. Turn the garment over and press the iron again on the back of the fabric to reinforce the bond. Allow it to set for 72 hours for full adhesion.
