19 cm x 26 cm Screenprinted stoneware casserole dish 2026 Part of the series, "Still Listening: Ceramic Relics of Climate Change". With support from the New Brunswick Arts Board, I engaged in months of experiments in screenprinting ceramic materials to crisply document today's communication towers for future generations. As part of their Ponts Vivants residency at the Centre des Arts et de la Culture in Dieppe, this fricot dish was created to honour my Great-Grandmother Charlotte, who was a cook for lumber camps in Rogersville, and whose French language passed with her. My daughter and I are working to bring the language back to life. This iconic image of The Talking Tower was screenprinted from a photo taken in March 2026, and should last for thousands of years. When using stoneware in the oven, avoid thermal shock, by allowing the casserole to heat up in the cool oven and to cool naturally. This piece is not for the stove top.
