【Jazz Signature: Freeman Lok Trio】 Freeman Lok 自五歲起習琴，早期扎根於古典音樂，並於多個鋼琴賽事中屢獲殊榮。隨後，他赴英國劍橋大學深造，並於 2022 年以優異成績畢業。留英期間，Freeman 對爵士樂產生了濃厚興趣，並曾參與多場備受矚目的演出，包括為當時的威爾斯親王（現任英國國王查爾斯三世）表演。回港後，他迅速成為本地最活躍的年輕爵士鋼琴手之一，亦跨足流行樂界擔任演唱會琴手。 本次演出，Freeman 將聯同低音大提琴手 Scott Dodd 及鼓手 Tim Ng 組成鋼琴三重奏。音樂會以「融合」為核心，結合古典與當代爵士的思維路徑。曲目將包括其原創作品，以及重新編排的爵士標準曲與流行歌曲。改編手法上，他深受當代爵士大師 Brad Mehldau 那種具歌唱性、如詩般的語言啟發，將大眾熟悉的流行旋律進行結構性的重組；同時，觀眾亦能聽見他如何將古典對位技巧（Counterpoint）巧妙地運用在三重奏的即興對話中，建構出獨特的當代美學。 Freeman Lok established a strong classical foundation from age five, winning numerous competitions before graduating with honors from the University of Cambridge in 2022. During his time in the UK, he performed for high-profile figures, including King Charles III. Since returning to Hong Kong, he has become a mainstay of the local scene, balancing jazz performance with work as a pop session keyboardist. For this performance, Freeman leads a trio with bassist Scott Dodd and drummer Tim Ng. Centered on "Fusion," the set bridges classical structure with contemporary jazz, featuring originals and rearranged standards.
