Finca Eliza Washed Green Tip Gesha by Martin Kutsch, Loja, Ecuador
"Truly one of my top three coffee of 2026. Stunningly floral, complex and with a structure like no other!” / Alexander Finca Eliza — Martin Kutsch Gesha · Washed · Loja, Ecuador From the highlands of Loja in southern Ecuador, this washed Gesha from Finca Eliza reflects a place where altitude, clarity and intention meet. Grown at 1,740 meters above sea level, this lot comes from a small micro-lot selection of green tip Gesha cultivated under stable equatorial conditions — consistent sunlight, mineral-rich mountain water and slow, even cherry development. Taste description: In the cup, the profile is elegant and lifted, with notes of white florals, bergamot and soft stone fruit, followed by a gentle citrus brightness and a refined, honey-like sweetness. The structure is tea-like and precise, with a long, clean finish. Processing follows a carefully extended washed protocol. The cherries are fermented in stages — both before and after pulping — with controlled turning throughout, before being slowly dried on raised beds. The result is a cup defined by clarity, balance and quiet complexity. Finca Eliza is part of the ChocoVilcaMundo (CVM) network — a collaboration between Ecuadorian and Colombian coffee producers focused on high-elevation, competition-level coffees. The farm has already gained international recognition, including a top 10 placement in Cup of Excellence, reflecting both its terroir and its commitment to quality. This is a Gesha that feels composed and expressive. Floral, precise, and quietly vibrant. Origin Producer: Martin Kutsch Farm: Finca Eliza Region: Loja, Ecuador Altitude: 1,740 m.a.s.l.
