Click for audio [6 mins] About today's material Today our readings are from Genesis 24:34-38, 42-49, 58-67, the story of Rebekah’s courageous decision to step into an unknown future, and Matthew 11:16-19, 25-30, where Jesus challenges people who refuse to listen and then offers rest to the weary. These passages invite us to notice how God’s wisdom often comes through ordinary decisions, unexpected voices, and relationships shaped by trust. They also challenge us to hold our assumptions lightly, to listen more generously, and to recognise wisdom by the life-giving fruit it bears. As we hear these readings and reflect on them together, may we be open to Christ’s invitation to share the load, risk love, and find rest in the grace of God.
