Created for Visa Wellington On a Plate's "Word of Mouth" theme, The Conversation Starter brings together wild goat, goat cheese, roasted capsicum and Kawakawa coleslaw, The Bond Store botanical aioli, and Apostle Hot Sauce herb salt, all served in a handcrafted Seriously Pickled cheese scone bun. Why goat? Because it's not something you see every day. Goat is one of the world's most popular meats, yet remains uncommon in New Zealand. We chose it deliberately to challenge expectations, encourage curiosity, and get people talking around the table. This burger is a collaboration between The Bond Store and Seriously Pickled — two Paraparaumu Beach businesses that have grown through local recommendation, community connections, and good old-fashioned word of mouth. Price $25 per burger The bar will be open throughout service, offering local beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options. How to Book Bookings are essential and numbers are limited.
