It was developed as a seedling of the legendary Hosta 'Empress Wu', inheriting that cultivar's commanding scale. The thick, corrugated leaves emerge with a vibrant yellow centre framed by wide, beryl-blue margins that mature to creamy white by midsummer. It performs reliably across Canadian hardiness zones 3–9. Plant it at the back of a shaded border where its architectural mass can anchor the entire composition. Grand Scale Architecture: Reaching over 150 cm (60") in diameter, this variety serves as a structural hallmark for the back of the border or a large woodland garden.
