Antxiola Getariako Txakolina Rosado 2025

Region: Basque Country Appellation: Getariako Txakolina Type/Style: Rosé Wine Grapes: Hondarrabi Beltza Bodegas Zudugarai is located on the coast on rolling hills about 90 meters above sea level in Northern Spain's Basque region. The 10–40 year old vines grow in clay-based soils within a natural park, where herbicides are strictly forbidden and all vineyard work, including harvest, is done by hand. The vines are planted on the sunniest and windiest slopes to help the grapes ripen while staying dry and free from rot and fungal diseases. Made entirely from Hondurrabi Beltza grapes, the wine undergoes 24 hours of skin maceration followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel using indigenous yeast. The wine is bottled young without aging to preserve some natural CO2, giving it a slight effervescence. Its notes of tart cherries contrast with bright citrus and mineral/saline tones.
