Grape Variety: Muscat à Petit Grains (Gelber Muskateller) Producer: Christina Netzl Region: Carnuntum, Austria Wild Scale: 4/5 Vegan friendly wine 11% alcohol Winemaking: Organic Muscat grapes were harvested by hand. Fermentation with indigenous yeast and two weeks skin contact. Aged on the lees. No filtration or fining and just a touch of sulphur on bottling. This Wine: Natural orange wine with a medium body. Showing the more restrained side of Muscat, this brims with stone fruit, orange and lemon along with balanced spicy notes. Really fresh and more-ish. Only 3000 bottles produced. Notes on the Winemaker: Christina Netzl grew up on her parent's farm and was around winemaking from an early age. This was the most exciting element of her surroundings so she studied winemaking before beginning full time work in the vineyard in 2007. Six years later she was inspired to convert to organic farming and now produces wines with minimal intervention in the cellar.
