This pin was originally released in April 2025, as a part of the Bizarre Beasts Pin Club. “River dolphin” is an informal, descriptive grouping, not an official classification. They are dolphins that live primarily in rivers and freshwater and are largely brownish gray, often with varying degrees of pink. There are a handful of river dolphin species around the world, and they are all similar enough that they were considered to be their own evolutionary group for a while. But they’re not! They’re a bunch of unrelated but nonetheless very similar looking dolphins. These dolphins catch small, fast fish in rivers with low visibility using a combination of echolocation, long noses, low dorsal fins, and weirdly flexible necks. DETAILS Dimensions: 1.5" long (3.81cm) Double-pin posts and butterfly clasp Designed by Rachel Calderón-Navarro Some very lucky recipients might receive an Uncommon or Rare variant of this pin.
