Behind the Design The Lakes pattern was created as a tribute to Louisiana’s waterways—the natural systems that shape the state’s landscape, culture, and way of life. Each organic shape within the pattern is the actual outline of one of Louisiana’s eight largest natural lakes: Pontchartrain, Borgne, Calcasieu, Maurepas, Salvador, Des Allemands, White, and Catahoula.
