Knitting FUNdamentals 2: Camomille Kerchief- Saturdays 11:30 - 1:00, 7/11 and 7/18
Flock EweNiversity at Peninsula Flock Knits Camomille Kerchief Camomille is a triangular scarf adorned with a floral lace motif inspired by the small flowers of the chamomille that grow in the mountains. Its romantic and delicate feel is enhanced by the crocheted border reminiscent of petals. We will be knitting a bandana size, simple triangular scarf, knitted from the top down. You will work this garment on circular needles, working back and forth. In this class, we will learn how to work left and right leaning increases, backward and forward loop increases, and yarn overs. Skills Taught: Reading lace charts and knitting patterns, M1L, M1R, decreases, introduction to lacework, i-cord tie Class Times: 11:30 am - 1:00 pm, Saturdays Dates: 7/11 and 7/18 Class Size: 5 students (age 16+) maximum. A minimum of 3 students must register and pay for the class in order for the class to be held. Fee: $75 for two 90-minutes classes. Skill Level: Cast on, knitting, purling *OPTIONAL crochet skills* single crochet, double crochet Materials: Circular 3.6 mm/US 4 knitting needle with a 32" cable 3.5mm / US E/4 crochet hook stitch markers tapestry needle Students can purchase steel or bamboo interchangeable needles and cables of various lengths from Peninsula Flock Kits.
