Vintage Mens 1930s 1940s Breeches Navy Blue European Jodhpurs Riding Work Trousers Pants 34"
A slightly distressed pair of vintage 1930s or 1940s European (probably German) breeches made from a fairly thick but soft, medium-weight, self-textured wool fabric with a double-faced finish which is navy blue on the outside & black inside. Cut in the classic style with very wide thighs, flat front, full-cut seat, button fly & braces buttons with notched or fish-tail back, side waist buckle adjusters, 2 front welted pockets, angled front watch pocket with chain loop & 1 rear buttoned pocket, button fastened at the calf. Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description. Size: Suggested 34" waist, regular length fitting. All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate for circumference (with approx. metric equivalent): Waist: 17 1/2" (44.5cm) Inside leg to hem: 26" (66cm) Inside leg to knee: approx. 12 1/2" (32cm) Outside leg (in a straight line): 37" (94cm) Rise - crotch seam to top of waist: 13" (33cm) Leg width at calf: approx 7" (18cm) Leg width at hem: 4 3/4" (12cm) Condition: In fair condition overall, with moderate signs of wear & noticeable moth damage - there are multiple nibbles scattered overall, mostly to the crotch & upper thigh/inside leg areas, the majority of which are just to the surface but some are small holes - slight shine to the seat - some fraying to the hem binding tape -some holes, marks & wear to the linings & pocket bags. Have been carefully hand washed, steamed & pressed prior to listing.
