Next up for Salehe and Puma's newest collaborative sillhouette is a tribute to the Japanese dog breed on the Salehe Bembury x PUMA Velum Nitro "Akita". The silhouette, usually defined by Bembury’s signature color work, instead opts for a sandy monochromatic hue reminiscent of the Akita's fluffy coat. Set atop a bed of sculpted NITROFOAM – PUMA’s pinnacle performance cushioning – the earthy, multi-layered lightweight engineered mesh upper feature's Bembury's fingerprint-inspired graphics and a UV-reactive finish that shifts to pink in sunlight. The entirety of the upper is framed by a 5D-printed, sculptural cage that amplifies the Velum’s fluid, future-forward aesthetic.
