Vintage French Linen Chore Jacket Type 2
Our chore jacket cut from a cotton and linen métis deadstock cloth woven by Fleur Bleue, a French mill that closed decades ago. This fabric has been in storage since the 1950s, nearly eighty years old and entirely unrepeatable. Type 2 shares the warm cream tone of Type 1 but is noticeably more textured — visible slubs and flecks of linen nep scattered across the surface give it real character and presence. It is stiffer in handle than the other variants and will soften and improve considerably with age and wear. The most characterful of the cream-toned cloths. Cut with our straight, easy fit with three curved patch pockets. Very limited quantities per size. Blond horn buttons. Cut and sewn in East London.
