The ‘Portland’ by 66 Clothing Sky Blue & Navy – John Lennon Beatles Inspired

Here we have a great new addition to the Icon range , The John Lennon Surfer Shirt. John wore numerous Grandad style shirts in the Beatles later career. This shirt though is slightly different. The collar means its a ‘Surfer’ shirt. Notice that it has a round bit near the top button. I have heard from numerous sources that this was a popular shirt in America through ’65. John wore his one for a couple of days whilst in Portland. In the pics below he is wearing it backstage at Memorial Coliseum, Portland, Oregon, Aug. 22, 1965. I am assuming he is also wearing for the Press Conference and getting off the plane. During their time there, they also met up with the Beach Boys. PLEASE NOTE This is version 3 of the top. We have some slight adjustments to improve the fit etc. Sizing These are standard 66 fit. The neck is higher than before, which we think is better. Stick with size I wear XL in most 66 items and would in this.
