An English Jacobean oak chest of drawers with a dark aged finish, beaded mouldings to the drawer fronts, and turned bun feet, 17th century. The chest is fitted with three drawers, the middle drawer divided by a vertical partition, and retains a strong, straightforward form with good surface character and shallow footprint at 17 ½ inches deep. 37 ¼ inches wide by 17 ½ inches deep by 41 ½ inches high Condition consistent with age and use, with surface wear, finish variation, abrasions, and expected repairs and losses. The chest retains a rich patina and presents well overall.
