I began designing my own 12 ply knitwear and needed a clear guide with rules, consistency and flexibility. A go-to at a glance. I wanted to skip the hard part and get straight to creativity, but not having a base guide held me back. I began recording my notes and turned them into a guide. Now I could find sizes, stitch and row counts quickly and easily and get straight to the fun part: adding beads, using op-shop yarns, add texture, hand-dyed gradients, over-dyeing knitwear or begin learning new knitting techniques.
