Edward Wesson (1910-1983) After Rain watercolour, signed Framed and glazed Overall dimensions including frame: 58 x 75 cm With original artist's gallery label adhered to the back dated 1978 Edward Wesson was born in Blackheath, London, and specialised in coastal and rural views, townscapes and still life, applying his watercolour to damp paper ‘wet on wet’ which suited his style. He exhibited widely in the 1950s and 1960s, including at the Royal Academy.
