JB Blunk Pinch Pitcher
4.25" x 5" Clay, Glaze USA Mariah is JB's daughter and the force behind the current Blunk Estate out in Inverness. Chic is not a big enough word to describe Mariah. A force in art and design, an attitude that anything can happen. She is also really beautiful and fun. Strictly Californian. She has done incredible things to protect, preserve and disseminate JB's legacy for all of us to appreciate and be inspired. She has made an incredible book in its fourth edition. And she occasionally reissues Blunk things, This small soy sauce pitcher reimagines an original created JB created in the mid-1970s, part of his celebrated series of soy sauce pitchers and dishes. Faithfully reproduced by Oakland-based ceramicist Stephanie Intelisano, it reflects Blunk’s belief in crafting every object in the Blunk House – from furniture to tableware – with care and intention. Made from clay and finished in a deep, rich blue-brown glaze, this vessel bridges function and artistry. It's also just fun and it feels really good to use.
