Join Pageturners at The Little Bookshop! Thursday 9 July, 4:30 - 5:30 pm £7/ticket Pageturners is a fun, interactive book group for 8-11 year-olds which meets at The Little Bookshop on a monthly basis. 2026 is the National Year of Reading and we welcome new members to join us for book talk and creative fun. Our book of the month for July is The Othernauts, Clare Pollard’s inventive and very funny revisiting of the classic Greek legend of Jason and the Argonauts. Join Phoebe and her friends as she stows away on the Argo for the adventure of a lifetime! The Othernauts is brilliantly illustrated by Macha Yao, an honorary member of Pageturners who helped us create a spectacular World Book Day bookshop window in 2025. We’ll also have some book-ish summer fun with our 2026 National Year of Reading Quiz and will be choosing between two exciting new books to discuss when Pageturners returns in September: The Street Art Mystery, Sharna Jackson ‘s latest mystery for aspiring sleuths and When the World Ends, a thrilling dystopian novel by Joanna Nadin. Ask an adult to book you a place, online or at the bookshop. Tickets are £7 and include refreshments (and a Pageturners discount of 10% on book group titles). Adults should be present at the session but are not required to pay for a ticket (max. one adult per child).
